Spicewood is a small town located in the hill country region of Texas, known for its natural beauty and laid-back atmosphere. The area is home to a mix of residents, including families, retirees, and second-home owners. The town boasts a wide variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and swimming at the nearby lakes, like Lake Travis and Lake Buchanan. The area is also home to several parks, including the popular Krause Springs, which offers a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city and features beautiful gardens, walking trails, and a picturesque pond. The town is also known for its wineries and vineyards, like Spicewood Vineyards, featuring tasting rooms and events. It's also a great location for those who want to be near Austin but prefer a quieter, more rural area. Overall, Spicewood is a great place to experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the Texas Hill Country, particularly for those interested in outdoor activities, natural beauty, and small-town living.

Scooters (Lime & Bird) as well as Lyft and Uber, are the best ways to get around Austin, especially this close to everything. However, there are also a lot of public transportation options in this area (see CapMetro's website).
